| Plastic ducks and racing pigs... (3rd May 2011) A NUMBER of events will be taking place over the May Day bank holiday weekend. In Henley, the annual May fair, organised by the town’s Round Table club, will be held in Mill Meadows on Monday from 12.30pm to 5pm. Entry is free. This year, there is a new arena act called Joseph’s Amazing Racing Pigs. The six rare breed pigs will perform twice during the afternoon. | Friends who started estate agents over a pint celebrate 20 years (21st February 2011) A FIRM of estate agents started by two men in Goring is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Davis Tate, which was founded by David Tate and Matthew Davis, now has eight branches and more than 50 staff. | Tablers celebrate a special anniversary (1st June 2008) HENLEY Round Table launched its 50th anniversary celebrations with a special inauguration dinner at the Red Lion Hotel. Some 50 current and past Table members, including three of those who had founded the club in 1958, joined together to celebrate the continuing success of a social and charitable club that has become something of an institution in the town. more... | Bank holiday more than fair (16 May 2008) CROWDS flocked to Mill Meadows and basked in the sunshine on Monday at the popular Henley May Fair. Henley Round Table organised the event, which included a comedy trampoline act, a children’s football tournament and a sheepdog herding ducks.
