OUR CHARITIES

Henley on Thames Round Table supports many Local Charities and Good Causes both large and small. This includes financial donations as well as offering our membership commitment to help run events.

Our main source of charity funds that we collect comes from:

  • organising the main Henley on Thames Fireworks each year
  • collecting with Santa and his Sleigh around the streets at Christmas

We also organise and host the Henley on Thames May Fair each year.

The main Charities we support are:

The Chiltern Centre
The Chiltern Centre is an independent not-for-profit company and registered charity. They were set up in 2004 in response to the needs of local families to provide essential short break care services, together with social and recreational opportunities for children and young people with physical and/or learning disabilities.

Bishopswood School
The school caters for pupils, aged two to sixteen years, with developmental delay, severe or complex learning difficulties. It is accessible to pupils with physical difficulties.

Rivertime Boat Trust
The Rivertime Boat Trust provides and maintains a specially constructed boat and other facilities for the disabled and disadvantaged. They work with other charities involved with the disabled and disadvantaged that have similar objectives. They organise boat trips on the Middle Thames for disabled children and adults.

Fireworks 2009
Henley Round Table’s annual fireworks display and bonfire will take place at Swiss Farm, Marlow Road, on Saturday, November 7th 2009. Click here for the details

Christmas Float 2009
We will once again be taking to the streets of Henley on our trusty sleigh playing some festive tunes and collecting door to door for local charities and the Bishopswood School Christmas Party. Dates and routes to follow.
